Abstract
This study investigates the effectiveness of Arabic conversation book development in improving adolescents' learning independence and speaking skills. In Arabic language teaching that requires an engaging, relevant, and communicative approach, the authors designed a conversation book that integrates daily life to increase active participation and motivation for adolescent learning. A quantitative approach was used by involving 20 adolescent students as respondents by collecting data through questionnaires before and after using conversation books. The findings showed that conversation book use significantly improved learning independence and speaking skills in adolescents, with more than 70% of respondents reporting significant improvements. Book content relevant to daily life and social interactions involving peers is the primary preference of teenagers. The implication of this research lies in the potential for developing a more effective and engaging Arabic curriculum, where conversation books with communicative contexts can motivate students to actively participate in language learning and apply the Language in real situations. Thus, the results of this study provide valuable guidance for an Arabic learning approach that is more contextual and responsive to the needs of adolescents in acquiring more practical and functional language skills.
