Abstract

A learning outcome is a result a student gains after a learning activity. It is influenced by some factors, one of which is the environment. The research aims to find out The comparison of Arabic learning outcomes between students who live in the school dormitory and students who live off school dormitory. The researcher employed a quantitative method and a comparative study. The research She conducted the research in MTs Al-Islam Joresan Mlarak Ponorogo in the academic year of 2022-2023. The population of VII female graders consisted of 318 students. From the population, the researcher took samples of 76 students, consist of 38 students students living in school dormitory, and 38 students living off school dormitory based on slovin formulation. the data collection technique in this study was documentation, to obtain data in the form of student learning outcomes from the first semester report cards. While the data analysis technique used is descriptive quantitative analysis and z test analysis with the type of independent sample test. The research results show that the sig.2 tailed score is 0.006, less than 0.05; therefore, the Ha is accepted and the Ho is rejected, there are differences in the value of the Arabic language between students who live in the school dormitory and students who live off school dormitory. Based on the descriptive analysis from sum value and average, it’s known that students who live in the school dormitory’s learning result are better than students who live off school dormitory.
