Abstract

This study aims to find the model of thought of Nahwu scholars in the Alfiyah book, especially in the problem of sentence structure in Arabic. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using content analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that the difference of opinion of grammarians refers to the following points, first that the difference of opinion refers to two well-known schools, namely the Basrah School and the Kufa School. the two schools of thought in the book are often symbolized by terms, such as people or by the names of figures such as kisai, ahfas and mubarrad
