Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the research-based learning model in the course Technology in Arabic Language Learning within the Magister Program in Arabic Language Education at Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, as well as the students' perceptions of it. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The results show that the implementation of the research-based learning model in this course involves several stages: mapping the research field, dividing students based on the research field, conducting preliminary observations, presenting the research plan outline, conducting field research, reporting weekly progress, and submitting articles to academic journals. Most students agreed with the appropriateness of applying this model in the course, highlighting several benefits, including enhanced understanding of technology in education, development of research and critical thinking skills, increased independence and responsibility, and a stronger connection between theory and practice
