Abstract

Title : Digital Transformation In The Formation of Morality of Madrasah Students In Indonesia And IslamicSchools In Australia

The development of digital technology is a reality that every human being must face in various aspects of their life, including education. Digital developments not only present new opportunities, but also challenges for the world of education, especially in the moral formation of students. The rapid spread of information on digital media has made many people worried about the moral future of students. For this reason, digital developments must be utilized optimally by madrasas and Islamic schools, so that they can provide benefits to the moral formation of students. From the school, researchers studied digital transformation in the formation of students' morals carried out by three MANs in Indonesia and an Islamic School in Australia.
The aim of this research is to describe: (1) The challenges of digital transformation in the moral formation of students at madrasas in Indonesia and Islamic Schools in Australia, (2) Digital transformation strategies in the moral formation of students at madrasas in Indonesia and Islamic Schools in Australia, (3) The impact of digital transformation on the moral formation of students at madrasas in Indonesia and Islamic Schools in Australi.
The research method used is descriptive qualitative. And to collect data, researchers used three techniques, namely interviews, observation, documentation. The data analysis used is qualitative analysis using the Miles and Huberman analysis model which includes data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.
The results of this research are: (1) The digital transformation challenges faced by madrasas in Indonesia and Islamic Schools in Australia in forming students' morals, include three things, namely: The amount of negative content that can be accessed easily by students, students' dependence on digital technology, misuse of digital technology by students, (2) The digital transformation strategy used by madrasas in Indonesia and Islamic Schools in Australia in forming students' morals includes three things, namely: the use of digital as a medium in learning, which is internalized moral values, the use of digital as an application for monitoring student attendance, monitoring and controlling student violations, strengthening digital literacy for students, and collaboration with parents carried out through applications and parents' WhatsApp groups, (3). The digital transformation carried out by madrasas in Indonesia and Islamic schools in Australia has had a significant impact on the moral formation of students, which includes: increasing responsibility, discipline, honesty and independence of students.
