Abstract

This paper discusses the Taj Mahal as a symbol of love and a representation of the Mughal Dynasty's grandeur in South Asia's Islamic civilization. The Mughal Dynasty reached the peak of its glory in the 16th to 18th centuries, leaving behind a legacy of art and architecture that reflects the integration of Persian, Islamic, and Indian traditions. To reveal the meaning of the Taj Mahal as a symbol of the eternal love of Emperor Shah Jahan for Mumtaz Mahal also a manifestation of the richness of Islamic culture and spirituality. The research was conducted through an in-depth literature review related to history, architectural design, and the symbolic value of the building. Shows that the Taj Mahal is not only a symbol of love, but also a reflection of political power, spirituality, and the beauty of Mughal architectural art. The Taj Mahal remains a global icon of the eternal Islamic cultural heritage, representing the harmony of art and spiritual values to this day.
