Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of organizational commitment and human capital on employee performance with work discipline as a mediating variable at the Land Office of Malang Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory research approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to all employees of the Land Office of Malang Regency with a total of 43 people. To analyze the relationship between variables, the Partial Least Square- Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method was used to test the relationship between variables. The results of this study indicate that organizational commitment, human capital, and work discipline have a significant effect on employee performance. Also, work discipline cannot mediate organizational commitment to employee performance, and work discipline can mediate human capital to employee performance. The contribution of this research is expected to provide insight for improving the effectiveness of human resource management in the government sector.
