Abstract

Technological advances have entered the digital era. One of them is Indonesia, all sectors have started to use and utilize technology to make work easier, including education. Technology is the result of scientific developments that occur in the world of education. Technology must also be supported by gender to facilitate the implementation of learning. This research aims: (1) To present factual data that shows the positive impact of how the use of technology can improve the learning outcomes of class VIII students in social studies lessons at SMPN 15 Malang. (2) To present empirical data that supports the idea that gender has a positive impact on the ability to use technology in influencing the learning outcomes of class VIII students in social studies at SMPN 15 Malang. This research method uses quantitative descriptive research. The data collection technique uses questionnaires or questionnaires and documentation in the form of PAS scores (learning outcomes). In this research, class VIII students were the population and the sample taken was 168 students using simple random sampling technique. The results showed that the use of technology has a significant positive influence on the learning outcomes of social studies class VIII students at SMPN 15 Malang, the first hypothesis is accepted. Meanwhile, gender is able to (moderate) strengthen the influence of the use of technology on the learning outcomes of social studies VIII grade students at SMPN 15 Malang, so the second hypothesis is accepted.
