Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation strategies of a growth mindset-based curriculum in enhancing students’ academic resilience at SMP IT Al Azhar 23 Kendal. The research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. Informants included the principal, vice principal for curriculum, subject teachers, guidance counselors, homeroom teachers, students, and parents. The findings reveal that the implementation strategies encompass strengthening the school’s vision and mission, teacher training, the development of learning methods that emphasize the learning process, and formative assessments focusing on student growth. A supportive and collaborative learning 4084 Publisher: Universitas Muhammadiyah Palu environment plays a crucial role in building students’ self-confidence and resilience. Challenges include limited understanding among some teachers and parents, as well as initial student resistance to mindset change. To address these challenges, the school initiated continuous teacher training programs and active collaboration with parents. The implications of this study suggest that implementing a growth mindset-based curriculum is effective in fostering students’ academic resilience and can serve as a model for curriculum development in other schools. Recommendations for future curriculum development include strengthening teacher training, increasing parental involvement, and enhancing processbased evaluation.
