Abstract
This presentation examines learning planning in higher education as a foundation for effective teaching and quality improvement. It explains that lecturers must design, implement, assess, and evaluate learning systematically, not merely deliver content. The material highlights active learning as a way to create meaningful student experiences that influence attitudes, interests, and behavior. It also clarifies the alignment between curriculum, syllabus, and semester learning plans, emphasizing coherence among competencies, teaching strategies, learning resources, and assessment methods. In addition, it outlines key planning documents at the study program and course levels. The presentation concludes by stressing instructional design principles, including a systems approach, learner characteristics, and method optimization to make learning more efficient and effective. This supports consistent and outcome oriented practice.
