Abstract
This study aims to: (1) Knowing the level of students motivation to learn Arabicin Buengcala Elementary School in Aceh, and (2) Knowing the factors that influence the students motivation to learn Arabic at Buengcala Elementary School in Aceh. This is important because motivation is a very important component in learning. Learning motivation serves to encourage students 'desire in learning and increase students' enthusiasm to achieve the
desired learning goals. This study uses a sequential explanatory combination approach. Where in the first stage, researchers used quantitative research to answer the formulation of the first problem and in the second stage, researchers used qualitative research to answer the formulation of the second problem. Data collection is done by questionnaire, interviews and observations. Data analysis techniques include: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Research informants are students, Arabic language teachers and principals. The conclusion of this study is the students at Buengcala Elementary School in Aceh have high motivation in learning Arabic. Factors that greatly
influence students' motivation to learn Arabic are their love of Arabic, their love for Arabs, their love of the Qur'an, their ideals related to Arabic, and the efforts of Arabic teachers in motivating students to learn Arabic
