Abstract
In the era of industrial technology 4.0, the world of education underwent significant changes. The teacher is
one of the implementers of the national education system for the realization of the objectives of national education. The
quality of a teacher is very influential on the success of the learning process. Teachers must have the qualifications and competencies in carrying out their duties as an educator and as part of the community. This study aims to find out how the quality of education in elementary schools / MI, how teacher competencies affect student acceptance, and how to
improve teacher professionalism through qualifications and academic competencies. The approach used in this research
is a qualitative approach to the type of case study research. Data collection techniques used in this study using in-depth interviews, documentation and observation. Data analysis in this study uses data condensation, data display, and conclusions. The subjects in this study were the 2016-2018 PGMI students of STAIMA Al-Hikam Malang. The results of this study indicate that the quality of learning in SD / MI is still lacking. Competence of the teacher is very influential on the acceptance of student knowledge. Teacher professional development through qualifications and academic competencies has a positive effect on the quality of learning achieved educational goals.
