Abstract
Anchored by the inconclusive studies portraying reflective practice enacted by pre-service English teachers in Indonesia, this study seeks to construe how three Indonesian pre-service English teachers negitiate meaning of their past learning experiences in English as a foreign language in the midst of COVID-19 outbreak. We employed a narrative design in this study. Data were garnered through Whatsapp-based semi- structured interviews and were analyzed descriptively. The results documented that the participants negotiated their multifacet learning experience and complexities during the COVID-19 learning process. Overall findings suggest that, from their narratives, teaching and learning enactment done by the teachers were not well performed. Pedagogical implications from this study are discussed at the end of this paper.
