Abstract
This study aims to develop a HOTS-based supplement book for grade VII SMP/ MTs students to support the implementation independent curriculum. This research was Research & Development with a 4-D development model modified into 3-D: Define, Design, and Develop. The instrument used in this study was a book validation sheet and its analysis technique with the Aiken's V formula and practicality test. The results of this study are that: 1) define produced material for the second semester of class VII as a guide for developing HOTS-based supplement books; 2) design was carried out to make HOTS-based supplement books for the second semester material for class VII; 3) develop was validated by material, language and media experts by two mathematics education lecturers and one mathematics teacher respectively with the results 0.840 (very high), 0.788 (high), and 0.804 (very high). The supplement book product was tested on 27 students of class VII state MTs 2 Blitar with the results of the response test getting an average of 24.704 included in the practical category with little revision.
