Abstract

Mathematical literacy is an important aspect for students to have. One of the learning materials that can be used to support this ability is the Islamic integrated Independent Learning Activity Unit (UKBM). This study aims to develop and determine the validity level of Islamic integrated Independent Learning Activity Units that can support students' mathematical literacy in set material. This research was carried out at Madrasah Tsanawiyah based on research and development with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The instruments used were observation sheets, questionnaires, and interviews. UKBM has been validated by design experts and material experts. The results showed that the development of UKBM based on the assessment of material experts obtained an average percentage of 89.37% with appropriate criteria, the assessment of learning experts obtained an average percentage of 80.67% with appropriate criteria, and the assessment of design experts obtained an average percentage of 84. 12%. The results of using UKBM obtained an average score of 87.84% with a total of 28 students who completed. The UKBM obtained very high assessment criteria and met the requirements for effective use in improving mathematics learning outcomes and was suitable for use in the mathematics learning process comparable to material for the SMP/MTs level. Thus, based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop Islamic integrated UKBM as a facility to support students' mathematical literacy skills.
