Abstract
This article aims to describe the communicative translation method in Maher Zain's religious song lyrics and find out how well the translation can convey the message, meaning, and nuances contained in the original lyrics to the listeners or readers in the intended language. To analyze the problem, the researcher uses Peter Newmark's theory of communicative translation as a theoretical reference, a translation theory that emphasizes the functional equivalence and communicative impact between the original text and the target text. The data were collected using the lyric text of Nas Teshbehlena into Indonesian through Arabic dictionaries such as Al-Munawwir Arabic-Indonesian, Al-Ma'āni online dictionary, and the Big Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI) as well as the internet as support in translating Bsu data into Bsa. And then analyzed qualitatively. This study concludes that the researcher managed to identify from 10 data in this research that the method of preceding and ending as much as 5, the hadzf method as much as 2, the ziyadah method 4, and using the tabdil method there is 1.
