Abstract

This book places migration as the central issue based on which the different facets of intercultural contact and language learning take place on different continents including Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. The book comprises ten chapters divided into three major categories:“migration and language contact”(p. 19), intercultural language learning and communication in the contact zone, and individual and community experience due to “migration and contact”(p. 170). The first category, migration and language contact, has the following three chapters.
