Abstract
This monograph of integrating science and religion within the digital learning is derived from research findings in the field of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) of medical students in Indonesian context. The research aim is design to address the mismatch between medical curriculum, pedagogical practices in the medical courses and stakeholders’ needs. This study also proposes a model of digital technology integration and medical curriculum to in terms of learning objective of the medical ESP courses such as the candidate of Doctors’ ability to communicate with patients, family of the patient, colleagues, nurses and staffs. The results of the research are divided into three main categories, namely needs analysis resulted from study subjects of ESP medical learners, ESP medical teachers, Dean and authorities. Next, a raw model of technology integration within ESP content and religion-based contents are examined and finally a valid model of the integration is proposed after it is quantitatively experimented several times. An example of integration model is reflected in the content reading course section (see the textbook product) such as comparing presenting the ways of recurring patients using Islamic ways and modern ways in the reading passage of ESP textbook.
