Abstract

Vygotsky adalah salah satu pengikut Piaget. Dia mengembangkan teori perkembangan kognitf yang didasarkan pada pendekatan psikososial. Menurut Vygotsky bahasa merupakan alat untuk perkembangan kognitf, karena itu teori ini juga dapat digunakan untuk menjelaskan tahap perkembangan bahasa pada manusia. Ada empat tahap perkembangan kognitif menurut Vygotsky, yaitu preintelektual speech, Naive Speech, Egocentric speech,dan inner speech.
